Very spacious rooms with couch (room 6). We booked the romantic weekend (including welcome drink, romantic decorated room, candlelight diner, late checkout). They forgot to decorate the room. We mentioned that, and they compensated us very well! They did their best to fix it and did an amazing job. Service and friendlyness were beyond good!. As well as the candl light diner. I want to point out their (double) espresso in the restaurant. Very good! Serene surroundings and nice trails to walk. We can recommend this place.

All in all an average experience: food in the restaurant is ok, service at the reception and in the restaurant very friendly but understaffed which leads to unnecessary waiting time. The hotel claims to be family friendly but doesn’t provide a kettle in the room - you have to ask for it -, the plugs are all unprotected, playground could be fenced as the car park is right next to it. Breakfast is made really nicely! Sweet picnic baskets which can be picked at the restaurant and taken to one of the sitting areas outside.

Calm place to stay surrounded by forest. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the food very good! The place seems great for spending time with little kids and for bigger family events, otherwise there is not much to do - at least in walking distance, apart from walking in the near forest, but with a good book, good company - all good. Not for low budget though. We travelled there with a normal bike from Basel, which is manageable but quite exhausting because of the ascending slope.

Spacious rooms, friendly, attentive staff, fantastic playground and equipment for kids (and yes, adults will enjoy the Slackline, too! ;-)), pet friendly, and a great breakfast buffet. Undoubtedly the best part, however, is dinner in the onsite restaurant. Really, really good, unpretentious food, and solid wine selection, all served with a smile. It'd get 5 stars if the free WiFi had better reception throughout the property; there were only a few areas where one could get a semi-consistent but far from strong signal.
